Class is $10 and students should arrive early for their first session to sign in and set up in the glass-encased lobby. Bring a water bottle (a water filling station is available onsite) and your mat and any props you may like, as they are not available onsite.   Hannah Jurcich Hannah is a White Lake Area native. She completed her first teacher training in 2014 through YogaFit, and then went on to get her 200 hour training through Sacred Moon School of Yoga in Grand Haven. Hannah grew up in the dance studio and eventually found yoga in 2012. With movement being a main focus throughout her life, Hannah brings practitioners into a space of confidence and comfortability in their own expression. Her classes are approachable, nurturing and inclusive. Hannah likes to challenge her students by saying "Everyone has a unique expression of movement, let's find that language as early as possible". In this class, participants will learn how to center clay on the wheel, shape it into various forms such as bowls, cups, and vases, and trim and finish their pieces. The class is designed for individuals with little to no experience in pottery, as well as those who have some basic knowledge and want to further develop their skills. Throughout the class, participants will receive guidance and instruction from an experienced pottery instructor, who will demonstrate techniques and provide individualized feedback. By the end of the class, participants will have gained a solid foundation in wheel throwing and will have created several functional and decorative pottery pieces.   Class fee includes instruction, multiple firings, glazes, and 25 lbs of clay per student.   This class will meet Tuesdays June 11, 18, 25 & July 9, 16, & 23 at Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio. Students will need to pick up their finished pieces following a final glaze firing that will happen AFTER the final class. Students will be notified when their pieces are ready for pick up.   Minimum: 4 Maximum: 5   Class Fee Assistance: If the price of this class is prohibitive, scholarship funds may be available. She loved the limitless dynamics of the art form, and it’s been her passion ever since. Recently,  she’s been apprenticing with Peter "The Potter" Johnson, the local master potter working at Terrestrial Forming in Whitehall.
