Solar Eclipse 101
February 27, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Are you ready for this spring’s solar eclipse? NASA Solar System Ambassador Joe Dermody will visit White Lake Community Library Tuesday, February 27th, at 5:30pm to share his knowledge in a presentation for all ages. Attendees will each receive a pair of eclipse glasses courtesy of StarNet and the Space Science Institute. Children’s activities related to the eclipse will also be available.
Mr. Dermody, who has previously shared with our community the science and technology of the James Webb Space Telescope and the Artemis program, will explain how to safely view an eclipse and describe past eclipses he’s viewed around the world. From West Michigan, the April 8th eclipse will only be partial, but attendees will learn how to get the most of this rare celestial event.
