Joscho Stephan Sven Jungbeck joined by Andy Henley bass. Third Coast Swing to open ! Book Nook in Montague.
Joscho Stephan shapes modern gypsy swing with his playing like no other: With his authentic tone, with harmonic refinement and rhythmic flair, but above all with breathtaking solo technique, Stephan has established himself in the international guitar scene earned an outstanding reputation. He knows like no other how to stand out from the multitude of current gypsy swing adaptations by combining gypsy swing with Latin, classic and pop in addition to the many interpretations of the well-known classics of the genre. This is where Stephan’s strength as a creative visionary shows. And that inspires young and old concert audiences alike.
Sven Jungbeck was born 1983 and started playing guitar in the age of 13. After studying music in Arnhem (NL) he began to work as live guitarist und teacher. He released several records with various projects in gypsy swing, jazz, fingerstyle, and alternative country.
Third Coast Swing has been playing the music of The late Belgium born Romani Gypsy, Django Reinhardt & his band, The Hot Club Of Paris 1930’-1940’s. Think Louis Armstrong with a French accent. Third Coast Swing has changed it up a bit and is currently touring with the Detroit native Dave Bennett, Violinist Grant Flick , Vocalist Ella Jury Jarvis & Pianist Andrew Henley. Ella and our guitarist Kaedin Plummer did a deep dive on early jazz classics by Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billy Holiday and then arranged these songs to fit Third Coast Swings eclectic style.
