Drawing Studio with Laurel Geis

March 6, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$75

Build your drawing skills in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Improve your drawing skills, use of tools, and understanding of concepts. Topics may include: shape and proportion, shading and dimension, perspective, texture, and composition. The instructor will provide materials and drawing exercises, or participants may bring an image or project to work on. Each class is a stand alone class and exercises are adjusted for individual learning levels. Appropriate for beginning to intermediate students.

 

This class will meet on Wednesdays, March 6, 13, 20, and 27  from 10:00am-12:00pm each day.

 

Class minimum: 4

Class maximum: 8

 

Pay What you Can Pricing:

This class is supported by the ACWL-Nuveen Scholarship Fund. If you cannot afford the $75 class fee, you may still attend the class for $50 or $25. To see the other pricing options, click ‘more prices’ under Tickets. ACWL-Nuveen member discounts do not apply to scholarship prices.

 

About the Instructor:

Laurel Geis has lived in the White Lake area for 28 years. She taught Art in public schools for 30 years before retiring. She is an active artist, working primarily in painting and drawing, and her work has been widely exhibited in sites like the Muskegon Museum of Art and the White River Gallery. Her work frequently includes landscape or environmental themes.

 

ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported by CatchMark Technologies, the Nuveen Benevolent Trust, the Michigan Arts & Culture Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts
