Summer Needs Drive for Muskegon Rescue Mission

Help support our neighbors across Muskegon County by donating summer essentials for the Muskegon Rescue Mission.

Drop off donations at the White Lake Area Chamber during business hours, July 27–31, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Most-needed items (travel-size donations)—

• Deodorant & Body Wash
• Shampoo & Toothpaste
• Electrolyte Packets

Every donation helps provide comfort, health, and dignity to neighbors in need during the summer months.

ARTISTS ON THE SIDEWALK @ Dune Grass Gallery

Come and hang out in the great outdoors with other artists, at this free summer activity, on the sidewalk outside of Dune Grass Gallery. Bring your own art project, supplies, chair, and umbrella. Spend the day or whatever amount of time that you can and enjoy sharing tips and tricks with other artists. Wednesdays 11:00 – 4:00 pm. 4588 Dowling St, Montague, MI

Lava Slime Lab

For kids. Make lava slime that looks like it just erupted from a real volcano! After we make the messy, stretchy slime, we will have toy dinosaurs to play with in the lava. It is going to be a blast! Registration Required.

Fetch Cycling Group

The Fetch Cycling Group meets every Thursday at 6pm for bicyclists to gather together for a ride from and to Fetch with any level cyclists.

All levels welcome. Join in the ride and refresh with a pint upon your return (around 7pm).

Soul & Story First Anniversary Celebration

Join Soul & Story as they celebrate their first anniversary with two days of appreciation for the community!

From the earliest days of cinema to today’s digital animation boom, women have been the magic behind the movies—and this lively, inspiring presentation celebrates their stories with history, heart, and song!

Discover trailblazers like Mary Weiser, the visionary paint pioneer at Disney whose all-female lab revolutionized color from the 80 hues of Flowers and Trees to more than 1,500 shades for The Old Mill and the dazzling palette of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Inspired by animation historian Mindy Johnson’s book Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation, the show spotlights pioneers like Helena Smith Dayton while tracing women’s lasting impact on film history—including the legacy of Walt Disney’s studio artists. Presented in conjunction with the Muskegon Museum of Art’s HERStory of Animation, the program features inspirational music from animated films and more, creating an uplifting, toe-tapping celebration of the women who colored animation history.
