White Lake Area Historical Society: A Video Tour of the Historic Mouth Cemetery

Join the White Lake Area Historical Society for “A Video Tour of the Historic Mouth Cemetery” on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the White Lake Senior Center (8741 Ferry Street, Montague).

Learn about Mouth Cemetery, the oldest burial ground in White River Township, dating back to 1851, and one of the oldest cemeteries in Muskegon County. Designated a Registered Michigan Historical Site in 1989, the cemetery’s remote, wooded location makes it difficult to visit in person, so this virtual presentation brings its history to you. The program will also feature stories of several of the cemetery’s early residents.

The program is free and open to the public. A donation of paper products for the White Lake Senior Center is appreciated but not required.

Location: White Lake Senior Center, 8741 Ferry Street, Montague
Admission: Free
