The World’s Greatest Christmas Music Through the Ages

The White Lake Chamber Music Society is excited to announce the 2025-2026 Winter White Lake Music Series, running November 2026 through March 2026. This Music Series will feature a variety of monthly events that includes live classical music performances and lectures by Bob Swan, Foley Schuler, Lazaro Vega. These great events will help to turn the drudgery of cold, winter months into a reason to come together, strengthening community ties and bringing greater vibrancy to the White Lake area.

On December 12, 2025 Bob Swan will present a lecture entitled “The World’s Greatest Christmas Music Through the Ages” as part of the White Lake Methodist’s Festival of the Trees celebration. It takes place at 7PM at White Lake Methodist Church, 8555 Cook St. Montague. Donations will be received and shared between White Lake Methodist and the Music Society.

Holiday Cookie Crawl 2025

The White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau presents the third annual Holiday Cookie Crawl!

Event: Saturday, December 13, 11am-4pm
Cost: $25 ($26 if paying electronically)
Where: Montague, Whitehall, and surrounding area businesses (plan your day accordingly for travel)

The morning of the event, Saturday, December 13, participants will stop by the White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau (124 W Hanson in Whitehall) between 9:30-11:30am to pick up their map, cookie carrier, and their first cookie of the crawl! Please note: Stopping at the Chamber first is key as the list of participating businesses and the cookie carrier are how people know you are a part of the event.

3rd Annual Christmas Tree Festival @ White Lake UMC

We are delighted to invite you to share in our 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Festival. This community celebration is FREE to the public. The Christmas Tree Festival will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 and Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come and delight in the beautiful trees decorated with love and the expectation of Christmas! Other opportunities during the festival include: a special audio-visual presentation on “Christmas Music Through the Ages”, sponsored by the White Lake Chamber Music Society on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. Saturday music recitals by White Lake Junior Strings beginning at 4:00 p.m. A Community Carol Sing on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Throughout the weekend festivities there will be a special Nativity Display, a bake sale, craft sale items, free children’s crafts and, of course, Santa will be in attendance for photos and a chat! You, your family, and all your friends are most welcome to join in this new community tradition!
