White Lake Chorale Presents All-Disney Concert in New Venue on New Day
Moana, The Lion King, Frozen 2, Encanto and Mary Poppins are a few movie titles from which White Lake Chorale draws its All-Disney spring concert program. There is no admission fee, but a free-will offering to help cover Chorale expenses will be collected during intermission.
Free tickets are available from Chorale members and at the Book Nook and Java Shop, White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Arts Council of White Lake—Nuveen Center, Muskegon Area District Library, Montague Branch and White Lake Community Library.
“We are so excited to step away from the heavier pieces to really have fun singing songs we have grown up with—and some newer Disney songs we’ve learned along the way,” said Director Cindy Moore. “You will be tapping your feet like Bert the chimney sweep with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious; or maybe bouncing with Baloo in Bare Necessities. Remember Bruno? Oh, yeah, that’s right. We Don’t Talk about Bruno! Who knows, you may end up Into the Unknown, or just maybe, We (do) Know the Way. Perhaps we need to Dig a Little Deeper and remember that there is a Circle of Life where God Helps the Outcasts. Or just forget about it all and live Under the Sea.
No matter what, your emotions will be tugged and turned, up and down, during an afternoon concert that is for all ages—for the kid in us all.”
The Chorale steps away from its formal attire for this lively concert, inviting the audience to also dress in character costumes or just arrive to enjoy the fun at this “Technicolor” presentation.
Borrowing a modified line from another famous movie, the Chorale declares, “May the 4th be with YOU!”
