Understanding Solar Energy

January 25, 2023, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

On Wednesday Jan. 25 from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Montague High School auditorium, noted videographer Peter Sinclair will present a dynamic visual lecture designed to give students and the general public a deep understanding of how solar energy works.  In the second half of the evening, audience members can submit questions concerning solar power.

Peter Sinclair specializes in environment and energy issues.  For more than a decade, he has produced a monthly video series for the Yale University School of Environment.  He has interviewed hundreds of the world’s leading scientists and engineers to enhance public understanding of our energy challenges.

Sinclair has also regularly embedded with science teams in critical areas, including the Greenland Ice Sheet.  His videos are recognized by experts internationally, and have established Mr. Sinclair as a frequent presenter on climate, renewable energy, and science communication.  In 2017, the National Center for Science Education recognized him as a “Friend of the Planet”.

The presentation is co-sponsored by White Lake Area Climate Action Council (WLACAC) and Reviving Our American Democracy (ROAD).
