Finger Knit is a fun activity and a great way to introduce kids to knit, using only their hands, without the use of needles.
In this introductory class, students will learn the basics of Finger Knitting, enough to make a shoulder bag or pillow, and perhaps even a bonus project (if time allows). They will finish a project in almost no time!
● Knitting is good for mental health because it requires mindfulness. As you knit, you need to pay attention to each stitch, the movement of your fingers, your breath, your stitch count.
●“When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future”
