Our sketches and styles are each as unique as we are! Join us for this session, where you’ll learn one of Ann G. Rusky’s sketching formulas done using pencil, ink pen, and watercolors. This session touches on basic drawing principles and color theory while demonstrating tips for simplifying sketches quickly with simple lines, swooshes of color, and a few dabs. This session is for anyone who wants to try out another sketching technique to enhance their sketching skills. Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies if you’d like: paper or sketchbook, pencil, pen, and watercolors.
Class minimum: 4

About the Instructor:
Artistically, Ann G. Rusky’s interest is exploring the margin between line drawing and painting. She loves combining the quickness and dynamics of sketching with her fondness of color. Ann is involved in Urban Sketchers as an Admin of the West Michigan Chapter. Urban Sketching allows her to capture her travels and experiment in her sketchbook. Professionally, she has illustrated three children’s picture books, one of which she has written.
This class is being offered in conjunction with the Wish You Were Here: Urban Sketchers Global Exhibition and is supported by Eastbrook Homes.
