Students will learn to make canes in polymer clay to create unique designs. What brand of clay is best to use, how to reduce the canes for smaller work, and color theory. The canes then can be used to create jewelry. Ages 16+.

Casey Bemis has lived in the Whitehall area for over 10 years, working in her studio in the quiet woods just a few miles from Lake Michigan. Much of the work is inspired by nature, geometry and science. Utilizing her undergraduate degree in painting, she draws directly on sheets of metal to be etched and then made into unique jewelry. She also paints and finds some time to work on several novels.
