An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until October 10, 2024
There are so many art materials out there, and they can be expensive, so how do you know what to buy? You can get instruction from a book, video, or online, but you can’t test-drive the materials!
Over the course of two sessions – October 3 & October 10 – we will try out a wide variety of materials, play a little, and have plenty of time for questions. Through hands-on exploration, you will learn the technical and creative qualities of dozens of art materials. We’ll test out a range of paints, mediums and additives, types of pencils and drawing tools. We’ll learn about supports and papers. We’ll explore what materials can be mixed, and which can’t. Each student will leave with a notebook full of information and your samples.
Class minimum: 4
