Kinusaiga – Japanese Art

November 10 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$25

Kinusaiga (key-nu-sigh-ga) is a traditional Japanese craft that transforms colorful fabric scraps into detailed mosaic-like pictures without any sewing. This is a fun and easy-to-learn form of art and looks very precise. You will choose from many provided designs and use a unique type of “fabric” that will make your art very distinctive. If students are not able to complete their project in the 2-hr class, they will be able to take the necessary materials with them to complete it at home. Ages 16+.

About the Instructor:
Marie Essenberg has been a nature and wildlife artist for 50 years and nature is where her soul thrives and roots connect. She has used many mediums to create detailed artwork such as oil, watercolor, pastel, graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, and scratchboard. Over the years her work has been shown at many galleries and art shows in several states.
