This 6-week course will cover the basics of throwing on the wheel. We will go over everything from wedging, centering, creating cylinder and bowl shapes, finishing, and glazing techniques. This is a hands-on class that will allow beginners to get a feel for this art form and improve their skills in clay! OR allow those with some experience to expand on their knowledge!
Class fee includes instruction, multiple firings, glazes, and 25 lbs of clay per student.
This class will meet Thursdays, November 3, 10, 17 & December 1, 8, 15 at Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio. Students will need to pick up their finished pieces following a final glaze firing that will happen AFTER the final class. Students will be notified when their pieces are ready for pick up.

About the Instructor:
Like many great love stories, Kim’s love for ceramics began in high school. She loved the limitless dynamics of the art form, and it’s been her passion ever since. Recently, she’s been apprenticing with Peter “The Potter” Johnson, the local master potter working at Terrestrial Forming in Whitehall. She’s now excited to begin her own journey creating and teaching pottery to other art lovers.
