Benton Harbor’s Israelite House of David religious order gained fame for its amusement park, baseball teams, long hair, and its prophet-founders Benjamin and Mary Purnell. Come learn about this pacifist order during World War II, including conscientious objectors, use of German POW labor, and Mary’s prophecies about the war’s outcome.
Presented Tuesday, February 15th, at 12pm by the Historical Society of Michigan and Brian Carroll of Israelite House of David. Please register to view this presentation on the White Lake Community Library’s big screen in the Meeting Room.
