Grief is a Verb II
Grief is a Verb II enables participants to create an upcycled T-shirt or shirt that memorializes and honors a lost loved one. We will use uncomplicated hand stitching to attach fabric or beads on the shirt that you bring to class. We can celebrate the qualities and strengths of your loved one in a wearable memento. Visualize the connection to your precious person while expressing grief in an imaginative way. This is a hands-on artmaking workshop using threaded needles and scissors but no previous experience is necessary.
Participants should bring their own shirt. If you don’t have access to a blank shirt, please contact nuveen@artswhitelake.org. The ACWL-Nuveen has a limited number of white t-shirts available to use.
Grief is a Verb is NOT a prerequisite for this class.
Class minimum: 4
