In this class students will learn how to design, fabricate, and embellish three colorful trinket dishes. Students will set their glass in class and then instructor Judy Grifhorst will fuse the students’ work in her kiln. These very versatile dishes can be used to hold jewelry, sauces, chop sticks or even your keys – great gifts too!
Pieces will need to be fired following class. Students will be contacted via email when their pieces are ready to be picked up!

About the Instructor:
Judy Sparks Grifhorst has been an educator for 42 years, grades K-5th. As a retired teacher she was looking for a way to retire, inspire, and refire herself. She found it with a new passion with glass fusing. From sun catchers, nightlights, to large platters. Her love of glass fusion continues to grow, as she shares this new love with others.
ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported in part by CatchMark Technologies, Michigan Arts & Culture Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nuveen Benevolent Trust.
