Using wool “prefelts” and wool and silk embellishment fibers, students will create a flower pin/brooch that can accessorize clothing, a scarf, or a hat. We’ll be employing basic wet felting techniques of water, soap, and agitation to shrink and form fibers into a durable, shaped fabric that will then be layered and-hand stitched into the final piece. Students will have lots of options for colors, petal shapes, and other embellishments. While we will finish the piece in class, it will need a couple of days to dry at home! Ages 16+.
