Expand your drawing skills with this workshop!. We will explore the options for drawing on grey papers using both white and black drawing materials. We will discover how to depict transparent or reflective surfaces, with their highlights and shadows. The concepts of value, shading, contrast and line quality will be covered. This is an all levels class, but some experience with still life or drawing from observation is helpful.

About the Instructor:
Laurel Geis has lived in the White Lake area for 28 years. She taught Art in public schools for 30 years before retiring. She is an active artist, working primarily in painting and drawing, and her work has been widely exhibited in sites like the Muskegon Museum of Art and the White River Gallery. Her work frequently includes landscape or environmental themes.
