White Lake Community Library kicks off its adult summer reading program Wednesday, June 8th, at 6pm with an opportunity to care for and protect our valuable natural resources. Michigan’s state parks volunteer stewardship workdays provide a great opportunity to get our hands dirty removing invasive species while learning about special habitat areas in need of protection. DNR natural resources steward Emily Leslie will visit the library to share information about the program, how you can get involved, and how volunteers and park staff work year-round to preserve your favorite places for future generations.
