Whether those who attend are fans of her books or came to love Jane Austen through one of many of the movie adaptations of her work, The Playhouse at White Lake invites all to join them for an enchanting afternoon tea and movie screening of Pride and Prejudice. Tickets are available to celebrate Jane Austen’s birthday on December 14 at 3:30 PM at the 108 year old theatre, in partnership with the award-winning White Lake Community Library.

While Regency-era attire is encouraged, it is not required. Guests are requested to bring a wrapped book to exchange with fellow guests; this book does not have to be new, in fact dogeared tomes are preferred. Space is limited to only 80 guests, who will enjoy a delightful English tea service, engaging trivia, followed by a screening of the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice.
