White Lake Snow Farmers is a nonprofit bringing winter recreation and community fun to the White Lake Area. Founded to make sure the White Lake Area doesn’t “fall silent” in the winter, the Snow Farmers help keep the joy of sledding, laughter, and community connection alive, even when natural snowfall doesn’t cooperate. The team uses mobile snowmaking equipment to create snow for the downtown Whitehall sledding hill when conditions are right. They also support local events year-round—helping maintain the Montague ice rink, entertaining crowds at parades, volunteering with other community groups, and overseeing Float-A-Palooza and Winter Wanderland Weekend. They also provide accurate local conditions through their on-site weather station.
