The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non profit organization that has been in existence for more than 120 years. The moto of the Eagles is “People Helping People” and with more than 1400 local Aeries in the US and Canada. the organization supports causes and people in need. Nationally, the FOE founded Mother’s Day, created a $25 million Diabetes Center, the Jimmy Durante Children’s Abuse Fund, the Max Baer Heart Fund, grants to drug awareness programs, CPR grants to fire departments and emergency services. It has been a major contributor to the American Cancer Society, American Kidney Foundation and the National Alzheimer’s Association.
Locally, White Lake Eagles Aerie 3214 supports and sponsors the White Lake Giving Tree, the White Lake Food Pantry, White Lake Little League, local high school athletic teams, yearly scholarships to Montague and Whitehall High Schools, Red Cross Relief Fund, the White Lake Choral, Muskegon Community College Dan Burt Memorial Scholarship Fund and benefits for various local people and causes and much more
