Michigan’s Heritage Park explores 10,000 years of Michigan history in a natural woodland setting. Visitors will enjoy historic encounters as they wander along a half-mile paved trail through the woods. The historic sites along the train include a mastodon dig, Native American Wigwam Village, Fur Trade Post, Settlers Cabin, Logging Shanty and 1900s Farmhouse. The park also includes some playscapes made from natural materials and an Atlatl Course. Special events this summer include a Pow Wow, Taste of History, and Haunted Trail. The Park is open May through October. Tours begin in the Visitor Center where there is a gift shop. A covered pavilion and picnic tables throughout the park offer visitors a place to enjoy a picnic lunch. The park is handicapped accessible.
