Pickle what? Pickleball is a cross between badminton and tennis. It is played on a badminton sized court that is 20×44, compared to a tennis court which is 36×78 and has a tennis-like net that is 34″ high at center court. It is played with what looks to be an over-sized ping pong paddle. We have 3 pickleball courts laid out on the gym floor at the WLCC. This game can be played with 2 players, but most often is played with 4. Players of all skill levels are welcome, first-timers to advanced. This is an incredibly popular activity with Seniors as the smaller court size and whiffle ball are much easier on joints while still providing great exercise. We have nets, balls and paddles. Wear comfortable clothes and clean-soled gym shoes; join us and have fun!

This class meets Monday, Thursday and Friday. and is free; registration is not necessary. We have a morning and afternoon group.

Note: Class will not meet the following dates: 11/23/17-11/24/17, 12/25/17, 12/28/17-12/29/17, 1/1/18 and 5/28/18.

Here’s the Scene: The succulent aroma of home cooked pasta is drifting from New York City’s most popular Italian eatery, La Speranza, but something else is heating up in the kitchen-Cold-blooded murder! Restauranteur Pepi Roni has been shot in the back with his own pistol. Tonight his family and friends will gather to pay their respects to poor Pepi, but one of the guests won’t be shedding any tears.

Registered attendees will be assigned their roles in advance so they can arrive in character. These dinner events have proven to be evenings of laughter.

From October through May, we offer a Murder Mystery Dinner. Participants act out the roles (with scripts and as much hilarity as they wish!) This is so much fun, You will be emailed your character, costume suggestion (easy and optional) and role prior to arrival.
