Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a yoga class that will focus on building heat and taking your practice to the next level. Move from a standing pose through high plank to chaturanga and into upward facing dog. Quit Smoking in 6 Weeks-No Less!

Give yourself the gift of becoming a non-smoker for 2018. This class will study the nature of smoking and the three aspects of the desire to smoke: 1.the chemical cravings for nicotine and the effects of dopamine. 2.the physical and social habits of smoking. 3.the mental self-image of being a smoker versus a non-smoker.

This course is broken down into two segments. The first three weeks address the physical and social habits of smoking with the second three weeks addressing the mental self-image of being a smoker or non-smoker. The chemical cravings for nicotine and effects of dopamine are covered throughout this course. The goal of this class is that at the end of the six weeks you will be a successful non-smoker.

Instructor: Burt Jackson who is a former smoker and has successfully been a non-smoker for many years from using the techniques in this class.

Sprouts Play and Learn

Sprouts Play and Learn Returns for two months of Patterns and Shapes!

Sprouts is a free program for parents/caregivers and their children birth-4 years of age. Every two months children receive a free book based off the theme of the month! They also play games and make crafts in relation to the theme.

November and December is “Patterns and Shapes!”

Sprouts Play and Learn runs the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month 10-11:30am between November-April and June through September. For more information or to register contact Gwen and Wendy at (231) 894-0342.

Family Food and Fun

 A great way to spend a Wednesday evening: enjoy a free meal, and let your kids burn off some extra energy.  
  • A simple meal will be served from 5-7 pm (FREE)
  • The gym will be open from 5-8 for your kids to play. There will be two areas for age-appropriate play. There will also be space for other activities such as ping pong. 
  • Starting at 6:45 we will have Bible study activities for kids K-12 who are interested.

No drop-offs please.

JAZZ NIGHT Green on Blue Quartet

Green on Blue is a jazz quartet based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The group enjoys presenting audiences a new twist on the jazz standards that have formed the backbone of America’s music culture. The members of the quartet include Sarah Dowell (violinist), Drew Mayhew (bassist), Makenzie Mattis (percussionist), and Steve Rothstein (guitarist). They perform a variety of jazz styles, including be-bop, traditional swing, and latin.
