Montague Band Shell Free Summer Concert Series

Every Tuesday Night 7:00 – 8:30pm at the Montague Band Shell. A fun, free family event – bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Rain site is Montague Area Public Schools Auditorium.

White Lake Area Community Picnic

The White Lake Area Community Picnic returns this year to Goodrich Park in Whitehall on Thursday, August 4th from 6-8pm, hosted by White Lake Beacon, HarborLight Credit Union, and Carmichael Heating & Air Conditioning. Great food, prizes, games, foam penny scramble, and music!

White Lake Chamber Music Festival

From August 4th through 14th, our area will host a rich array of local, national, and international artists. Performances by the legendary Avalon String Quartet will be among the many highlights of this year’s White Lake Chamber Music Festival. Now in its seventh year, the Arts Council of White Lake’s festival will again comprise a wide variety of exceptional performances and events held throughout the White Lake area of Montague and Whitehall. Movies by the Bridge

Come to the Goodrich Park Gazebo and enjoy an outdoor movie on Thursday and Saturday! Bring your folding chairs and blankets around 9pm as the movies will begin around dusk. This is a FREE event.

Thursday’s movie: National Treasure
Saturday’s movie: UP

*On Friday, the outdoor movie will be moved to the Montague Bandshell as part of the Family Fun Night activities.

BridgeHop Motorcycle Parade

Listen to the bikes roar down Colby Street/BUS-31! Parade will begin at 7pm and will follow the parade route from Whitehall City Hall to Montague City Hall. If you own a motorcycle, show off your wheels and participate in the parade! Staging will begin at 5pm at White Lake Area Community Education parking lot, 541 Slocum (old Whitehall High School).

BridgeHop Family Fun Night

Bring the whole family to the Montague Band Shell on Friday, August 5th immediately following the Motorcycle Parade for fun activities! An entry fee of $5 per person or $15 per family will be collected toward the BridgeHop community fundraiser. Children’s activities will include inflatable bounce house and obstacle course, birdhouse painting, canvas coloring, White Lake Robotics, and Inside Out (a family movies) playing under the stars to end the night! Jager’s Taffy-N-More will be selling hot dogs, burgers, brats, lemonade, soda, water, and more. Alcohol will not be sold at this event. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to watch the outdoor movie!

BridgeHop Community 5K Run/Walk

A community 5K will kick off Saturday morning’s festivities from WaterDog Outfitters in Montague! The route will take participants through both Montague and Whitehall with a combination of street, sidewalk, and trail with beautiful waterfront scenery of White Lake and White River. Only a $25 registration fee to participate in this Run/Walk, including a tech shirt! Register online at runsignup.com. Registration at the race will be available, however a shirt will not be guaranteed.

8am packet pickup on Saturday morning, 9am race start time.

Race parking is not available at WaterDog Outfitters, but rather Montague Foods, the Chamber of Commerce, the grassy lot across from the Chamber of Commerce, and nearby.

WLASA Salmon Tournament

Start bright and early at 6am at the Montague Boat Launch and compete for a $1,000 prize! Enter your team for a $100 fee, with all fish to be donated to the upcoming WLASA Fish Boil taking place on August 20th. Weigh-in your fish immediately following your morning excursion (must be in by 1pm) at the Montague Bandshell. Join the fun and watch the weigh-in and awards at the Montague Bandshell beginning at 1pm.

Pub Cruiser

For the first time ever, the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser, a 16-seat mega-bicycle from Grand Rapids, will be coming to the White Lake area as part of BridgeHop! Book your seat in advance for this unique experience and visit Pub 111, Fetch Brewery, and Jimmy’s Pub during your 2-hour block. Seats are $30 and include a souvenir cup that will buy you discounted drinks during your tour and throughout the day! BridgeHop Boogie!

Remember the days when the thing to do was get together and dance? Those days will be back on Saturday, August 6th starting at 8pm at the Montague Band Shell! Montgomery Brothers DJ will play music from eras new and old, and Studio France School of Dance in Montague will be there to teach the crowd a few new moves throughout the night! An entry fee of $5 per person or $15 per family will be collected toward the fundraiser. Jagers Taffy-N-More will be selling food and drinks throughout the event! Alcohol will not be sold at this event.
