The Passenger/Car Ferry is scheduled to begin service in June of 2004. During peak months, the ferry will cross Lake Michigan 3 times daily in just under two and a half hours time. Lake-Express will own and operate the cross-lake ferry service and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Lake-Express promises a comfortable ride across the "Big Lake" at speeds around 40 mph. The ship, built by Australian based company Austal, is an engineering marvel built to handle the rugged waters of Lake Michigan. The ride promises to be a comfortable one complete withfood, beverages, business class cabin, modern restrooms and a smoke-free environment.

The White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is located on White Lake near Lake Michigan on the shores of Western Michigan in Muskegon County.
